Imagine gently waving greenery, blue skies and a light wind with which no heat is intimidating. Somewhere in the distance the rugged mountains with peaks snow-covered for a large part of the year, on the other side stretching for miles the beaches full of tourists, but here it is quiet, peaceful and comfortable. Ideal conditions for golf.
There are four major golf courses of international standard in Cyprus, and more are planned. The Cypriots intend to take advantage of the island’s good location, favorable terrain and favorable weather conditions, which make golf in Cyprus practicable virtually all year round.
Golf on the island is regulated by the Cyprus Golf Federation, which is a member of the Cyprus Sports Organization and the Cyprus Olympic Committee, and is also a member of the International Golf Federation and the European Golf Association. It organizes international tournaments, Cyprus Open Golf Championships and Cyprus Amateur Open Championships, golf programs and events for members.
